The Former Senator Representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has stated that those who have privately pressured President Muhammadu Buhari not to sign the Electoral Bill will deny him when he’s out of office.
The Former Senator Representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has stated that those who have privately pressured President Muhammadu Buhari not to sign the Electoral Bill will deny him when he’s out of office.

“The President should know that those who privately pressured him not to sign the Electoral Bill will publicly deny him when he is out of office.”
Sani said this after President Buhari wrote to the National Assembly refusing to assent to the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2021 citing the high cost of conducting primary elections.
As the deadline elapsed for the expected presidential assent last Friday, President Buhari also pointed out the heightened insecurity revealing that it will be too risky to monitor the direct primary election.
Mr Buhari who has revealed his plans of going back to his farms in Daura, Katsina State after 2023 revealed that the bill was not in the interest of the country as small parties without structure will be marginalised.
