Governor Hope Uzodinma has called on those involved in the ‘business of banditry, kidnapping and other crimes, to repent forthwith and turn a new leaf as the Government is not willing to negotiate with any criminal.’

Speaking while felicitating with Imolites on Christmas day appealed to the citizens to sustain their resilience as the government was working to restore peace and tranquillity in the State.
He also called on the citizens to reflect on the true essence of the Christmas celebration and birth of Christ as they merry.

‘His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has called on Imolites to reflect on the true essence of the Christmas celebration as they merry.
This was contained in his Christmas message during the Holy Mass at St. Rose Catholic Church in his country home, Omuma in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Governor, who traveled home with his family for the Christmas celebration, expressed happiness over the joyful celebration by his people and urged them to always look beyond the merriment in order to reflect on the true essence of the birth of Christ.
In the spirit of the season, His Excellency called on those involved in the business of banditry, kidnapping and other crimes, to repent forthwith and turn a new leaf as the Government is not willing to negotiate with any criminal.
His Excellency, appealed to Imolites to sustain their resilience as the Government is dedicated to the restoration of tranquillity in the State. The Governor further drummed support from the people for it’s by their support that a Government would succeed.’
