Gunmen Kidnap Bride a Day to Her Wedding

A bride-to-be identified as Farmatof Paul Mechem Abal has been kidnapped just a day to her wedding in Bokkos Local Government Area in Plateau State.

Farmatof whose wedding to Zephaniah Kosom Yunana was supposed to take place on the 3rd of January, 2022 was kidnapped on the 2nd January when gunmen stormed the village.

Eye witness reports that as tradition, Farmotof was at the home of her pastor at Christ Apostolic Church Ngyong District in Bokkos LGA, when there was a shooting by the gunmen.

The shooting dispersed the crowd and the gunmen went straight for the bride and took her away.

“The incident happened at 8 pm on that fateful day, the men came with guns, shooting all night so the villagers ran away. They got the bride and left with her. Some people said it might be somebody that wanted to marry her but she refused. Some are saying the person is pouring his anger by not allowing the wedding to hold. We don’t know the whole story but we are waiting for her return or communication from them.”
