Another Catholic Priest Shot Dead, Others Kidnapped by Gunmen
Tragedy struck on Friday evening as a Catholic priest under the Nsukka Diocese, Rev. Fr. Mathew Eya, was shot and killed by gunmen along the Eha-Ndiagu road in Enugu State.
According to reports, Fr. Eya was traveling with several passengers in his vehicle when they were ambushed by the assailants.
The attackers opened fire, fatally shooting the priest on the spot. The others in the vehicle were abducted and taken to an unknown location.
Fr. Mathew Eya was known for his dedication to pastoral work and community development. His untimely death has left the Nsukka Catholic community in mourning.
