IDP Commits Suicide After Being ‘Raped By NGO Official’
A female Internally Displaced Person, IDP, in Borno State, Fatima Muhammed (Aunty Hajja), has committed suicide after allegedly being raped by an official of the Humanitarian Organisation in the State.
A female Internally Displaced Person, IDP, in Borno State, Fatima Muhammed (Aunty Hajja), has committed suicide after allegedly being raped by an official of the Humanitarian Organisation in the State.
It was gathered that the suspect Husaifa Adam, who was a staff of Intersos, a humanitarian organization in Maiduguri, raped Fatima in an undisclosed date.
When Fatima couldn’t take the trauma of the experience, she stabbed herself which led to her untimely death.
Meanwhile, the suspect, Huzaifa Adam has been swiftly arrested and is presently being held at Borno Police Command Headquarters.
The family of Fatima is asking for justice.
