Abia Gubernatorial: Hon. Sampson Orji Picks PDP Expression of Interest and Nomination Form, Promises to Serve Abians

A former member of the Abia State House of Assembly, Honourable Sampson Orji has picked the expression of interest and nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and promised to serve Abians.

Responding to journalist shortly after picking the form on Thursday at the PDP Secretariate in Abuja, Hon. Sampson stated that he was running for the office of the governor out of a strong sense of duty to serve Abians with an unrivalled patriotic zeal.

Hon. Sampson revealed that being from Abia North Senatorial Zone, he understands the infrastructural deficit that dots every nook and cranny of Abia State, especially in Abia North.

The former member of Abia State House of Assembly(1999-2003) said that he understands the near-comatose condition of our primary and secondary schools in the entire State and stated that it was time education was taken to enviable heights.

Speaking further, he said his experience as one that has served as a legislator in this State, that he understands the inevitability and centrality of the legislature in identifying key areas for urgent infrastructural attention.

And promised to demystify the office of the Governor so there could be interaction between him, his office if given a chance, and the subject, the people. He said his subscription to periodic accountability to Abians will be second to none.

Hon. Sampson went further to say he will tackle social insecurity and make civil servants live up to their bidding through a process of reward and sanction system.

He finally reiterated his resolve to have all past Major office holders from the State on board as they will be constituted as an advisory council to guide him in deciding some matters that are of urgent State importance and he vowed that there would be no time to witch hunt people but to carry everyone on board as we need all hands to be on deck to actualize the Abia of our dreams.
