Security Operatives Foil Attack on INEC Office, Neutralise Attackers

Unknown gunmen were eliminated by Eagle Eyed Security agencies in New Owerri and Control post roundabout area on Monday morning, 12th December 2022 over attempt to attack the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

It was gathered that the gunmen led by one Osondu attempted to burn down the INEC headquarters in the capital city of Imo State.

The attack was countered by the Eagle Eyed security who engaged them in a shoot-out that lasted for over two hours.

But finally, they were taken out.

Recall that the designated apostle of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Simon Ekpa who resides in Finland has declared a sit-at-home in the South East from the 9th to 12th of December 2022.

A directive countered by South Easterners who went about their businesses in the areas.

However, this brought about the killing of three policemen, a pregnant woman, and eight other people by the enforcers of sit at home while shops, cars, and goods were also burnt in Enugu and Imo State.
