Suspected Gunmen Kill Village Head in Kano

Suspected gunmen killed the Village Head of Maigari in Rimin Gado’s local government area of Kano State, Alhaji Dahiru Abba, on Sunday morning.

The gunmen stormed the residence of the late traditional ruler and assaulted him which left severe injuries on his body before shooting him dead.

Confirming the incident, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of Judiciary in Kano State, Alhaji Sanusi Abbas, who is also a family Member of the deceased, stated that the late Monarch is the father of the present chairman of Rimin Gado local government Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari.

He further noted that the funeral prayer will be conducted at his residence by 10 am in Maigari Village of Rimin Gado LGA.

“Late Maigari died after some unidentified gunmen stormed his residence in the early hours of Sunday, inflicted various degrees of injuries on his body, and later shot him dead.”

“May his soul rest in Aljannatur Firdous.”
