Certificate Forgery: Reintroduce Yourself to Nigerians – Obi to Tinubu

Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded election has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reintroduce himself to Nigerians following the discrepancies in the certificates he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the Chicago State University.

“Bola Tinubu should reintroduce himself to the nation he governs, and tell the nation who he is, where he is from, where he went to school, and his real name. It’s a simple task that will take only a few minutes. And he must perform this task immediately.”

He made this known in a World Press Conference on Wednesday which was held at Wuse Zone 2, Abuja strongly asserting that Nigerians are now considered fraudsters outside the shores of Nigeria.

“All countries in the world now see Nigeria as fraudsters and identity thieves because of Chief Amoda Bola Tinubu. Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have saved himself and Nigeria from this embarrassment.

“For the controversy surrounding Tinubu’s identity and academic qualification, the rest of the world now negatively see Nigerians.”

“It is a matter of morality, honor, and integrity, Tinubu needs to come clean. I attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Soludo, Emefiele,  the present Vice Chancellor, and the two DVCs were all my schoolmates, you can go and verify.”

Last week, the Chicago State University, in a deposition at the Illinois Court claimed it does not recognize the certificate the former Lagos State Governor had submitted to the Nigerian electoral commission in a motion filed by the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The University which said it “does not in the ordinary course keep copies of student diplomas, and after diligent search cannot locate a copy of the original diploma it prepared for Mr Tinubu in 1979, hence has no documents responsive to this request” said it was a “Nigerian thing to forge documents.”
