NLC Embarks on Nationwide Strike, Withdraws Services
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, have directed workers to withdraw their services starting from midnight 13th of November 2023.
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, have directed workers to withdraw their services starting from midnight 13th of November 2023.

In a statement signed by the General Secretary NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja and Comrade Nuhu Toro, the General Secretary of TUC on Monday that its industrial strike kicks off today.
It directed all state councils to comply with the directive and assured of its commitment to the cause of workers.

Recall that the Court, on Friday, ordered the NLC and TUC against embarking on a nationwide strike stating that it will cripple the country.
However, the NLC and TUC directed workers on a nationwide strike which commences today over the assault on the NLC President Comrade Joe Ajaero in Imo State by the Policemen and thugs allegedly contracted by Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Comrade Ajaero called for a protest in Imo State over the alleged 40 months salary arrears owed workers in the State.
