Police Raid Criminal Hideout, Recover Ammunition, Others
Three suspects, 39-year-old Emmanuel Nwabundo from Abia State, 35-year-old Emmanuel Eze, and 30-year-old Anthony Onoche George both from Anambra State were arrested by the Enugu State Police Command when it raided a criminal hideout in the Centenary city area of Obeagu-Awkunanaw community in Enugu South LGA.
Three suspects, 39-year-old Emmanuel Nwabundo from Abia State, 35-year-old Emmanuel Eze, and 30-year-old Anthony Onoche George both from Anambra State were arrested by the Enugu State Police Command when it raided a criminal hideout in the Centenary city area of Obeagu-Awkunanaw community in Enugu South LGA.

The suspects who were arrested on Friday, January 19, 2024, based on credible information by the Enugu State Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTDA), were found with charms.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe on Sunday, eight pump action guns with four live and twenty-six expended cartridges were recovered.

Other exhibits recovered include one machete, four units of solar-powered CCTV cameras, thirteen assorted phones, one DVD player, and four bags and clothes, all suspected to be stolen.
It was gathered that the location has been used as a hideout for criminal activities like armed robbery, and kidnapping, among other crimes, within the Enugu metropolis and environs.
The suspects shall be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded while a search is still ongoing for the escaped criminals.
