Hon. Goodluck Nwaobiwe, former Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressive Party, APC following the developmental progress brought in by the latter.
He made this known at the country home of Engr. Uruakpa Chinwendu Sterling at Umuezeke Village of Asa North in Ukwa West Local Government Area.
Hon. Nwaobiwe along with the former leader of the Ukwa West Legislative Council, Hon. Ebenezer Uruakpa, Hon. Chikezue Nwaobia, Elder Ephraim Nwala, Elder Friday Njoku, and Mr Chibuike Lazarus commended the leadership style of President Bola Tinubu, especially in his selection of credible men to pilot the affairs of different ministries in the country especially the appointment of Chief Eruba Dimgba as the Abia State Representative on the NDDC Governing Board.
“The appointment of Chief Eruba Dimgba is divine as he is a God-fearing man who God sent to Ukwa West and Abia at this time to deliver the dividend of Democracy to the people through his office,” he stated.
He further revealed that their aim of joining the APC was to strengthen it at the ward level.
Similarly, Hon. Nwaobia, Hon. Uruakpa, Elder Njoku, Elder Nwala, and Mr. Lazarus mentioned that the APC does not segregate among individuals and expressed happiness in joining the ruling party.
Elder Friday Njoku and Elder Ephraim Nwala opined that the host Engr. Sterling Uruakpa has shown capacity as a man, advising that everyone should rally around and support him in times like this and that APC has performed very well in the LGA by providing good roads and electricity.
They all agreed to bring all their supporters by the next two weeks to be part of this progressive movement.
In a vote of thanks, the host Engr. Uruakpa appreciated all present and encouraged them to be agile in the party business, hinting that there is no going back in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Government and also informed all present to give the Abia Rep on the Board of NDDC maximum support and explained that Dr Eruba Dimgba is God’s sent who has started using his God-given wisdom in his office.
