Days After Report, College of Nursing Refunds ‘Lecturer Appreciation Fee’
The management of the College Of Nursing, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi has commenced refunding students who paid the ‘lecturers appreciation fee’ days after the news broke out.

The management of the College Of Nursing, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi has commenced refunding students who paid the ‘lecturers appreciation fee’ days after the news broke out.
Newsleverage had reported that final year students of the school were charged lecturers appreciation fees among other illegal fees in the school.
The management afterwards suspended the Principal Mrs Joy Aralu who was fingered in the extortion alongside her son Makuo Richard, who was accused of living with the students in their hostel and also set up a committee to ascertain the report.


On Wednesday, Ogbaji Ifeanyi confirmed that the students were being refunded the N70,000 illegally extorted from them as the appreciation fee for lecturers.
Meanwhile, according to the students, the management of the school led by the Chief Medical Director Professor Joseph Ụgbọaja have provided an enabling environment for the students writing their final examination and practicals.
