In a major step toward boosting economic growth and enhancing Abia State’s global profile, the Abia State Government has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Radisson Blu in Lagos for the reconstruction of the Enyimba Hotel and International Conference Centre.

The project set to be developed in partnership with the internationally renowned Radisson Blu, will feature state-of-the-art hospitality and event facilities.
The project aims to attract investors from around the globe, with the potential to create jobs, promote tourism, and stimulate local economic growth. The state government seeks to position Aba as a key player in both regional and international business activities by transforming the Enyimba Hotel and ICC.




Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Abia State Government expressed its commitment to driving progress and enhancing the state’s infrastructure. The development is seen as a pivotal move towards achieving sustainable economic growth and making Aba a leading destination for both business and leisure tourism.
According to a statement shared by Prince Okey Kanu, the State Commissioner for Information, the reconstructed Enyimba Hotel and Conference Centre is expected to serve as a major asset for the state, fostering both local and international business collaborations while offering top-tier services to visitors and residents alike.
Key highlights of the development include a grand 2,500-seat main hall, several smaller meeting halls, and expansive exhibition spaces. These world-class amenities are expected to significantly elevate the State’s status as a commercial hub centre.
