Abia Police Identify Officers Assaulting Civilian in Viral Video
The Police Officers who were seen in a viral video assaulting a man have been identified and are currently under interrogation.

This was made known by the Abia State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Maureen Chinaza on Friday, who said the Command was aware of the trending video, which allegedly happened along Lagos Street, Umuahia, on the 20th of February 2025.
She relayed that the officers are being interrogated at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
She assured that the public will be updated after necessary administrative actions are taken against the erring officers.
In the viral video on Thursday, four Policemen were seen manhandling an elderly man in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
