Police Intercept Mercedes Benz, Recover Weapons
In a stop-and-search operation, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command intercepted a Mercedes Benz with a customized plate number, FORBES JR. This operation led to the recovery of a locally fabricated firearm and two live cartridges.

In a stop-and-search operation, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command intercepted a Mercedes Benz with a customized plate number, FORBES JR. This operation led to the recovery of a locally fabricated firearm and two live cartridges.
The vehicle was flagged down for routine checks and contained three male occupants: 27-year-old Nsisong Paul Okon from Itak Village in Ikono LGA, 62-year-old Francis Forbes from Ikot Akpa Edok Ndiya Village in Ikono LGA, and 27-year-old Prince Forbes, also from Ikot Akpa Edok Ndiya Village in Ikono LGA.


The operation occurred at the Control Post in Ikot Ekpene and is part of the Command’s intensified strategy to combat crime and enhance public safety.
DSP Timfon John, the spokesperson for the Command, stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba M. Azare, fsi, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the matter.
