The National Youth Service Corps member Ushie Rita Uguamaye has apologized to Lagosians for describing the city as ‘dirty and smelly.’

In a post shared on Monday, she stated that she didn’t mean to talk down on the State but as a visitor, she was hit by a putrid smell and was overwhelmed by the economic woes of the country.
Speaking further, she revealed that the #30daysrantchallenge, which she started, was a way of making her voice and that of others heard regarding the State of affairs in the country and called for a retrospection on the part of the government.

Rita, who was summoned to the office of Local Government Inspector Mrs Abela Veronica on Monday, urged Nigerians not to be distracted but to be diligent in asking for what they want and deserve from the country, emphasizing that asking for better will get the desired results.
On March 15th, the corps member made a video on TikTok describing President Bola Tinubu as a terrible President in the history of Presidents in Nigeria. She was immediately threatened by her LGI to pull down the video.
She was also summoned to report to the Local Government on Monday, and when she did, in the company of the Convener of #RevolutionNow Omoyele Sowore, Human Rights lawyer Festus Ogun, Yinka Oyesomi and Justice Ojienoh, but the LGI was nowhere to be found.
