Some suspected Herdsmen invaded two communities in Ovia North East, Edo State yesterday and killed the unsuspecting villagers.

From the pictures shared by Ugo Egbujo on Monday, the terrorists also burnt the houses of the villagers before killing them.

Some people suggest that this may be a retaliation for the murder of 14 alleged hunters who were travelling north through Uromi. These hunters were killed by a local vigilante who discovered they had Dane guns and money with them. Unfortunately, they were labelled as kidnappers.
Meanwhile, communities in the Southern part of Nigeria have lamented the invasion, killing and sacking of people by Fulani herdsmen who are often released by the Nigeria Police when arrested by the people. They accused the security operatives of being accomplices to the crime against them.
