Police Arrest Notorious Cultist, Recover Weapons
A 28-year-old man, Gospel Bassey, also known as Akpago from Iwuochang Village, has been arrested following a raid at the suspect hideout along Lutheran Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
A 28-year-old man, Gospel Bassey, also known as Akpago from Iwuochang Village, has been arrested following a raid at the suspect hideout along Lutheran Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The suspect, who is a notorious cultist, admitted and confessed to being a member of the JVC cult group.
According to the Akwa Ibom state police command, a locally made long pistol gun, one live 8mm AK47 ammunition, a red beret, substances suspected to be charms, and hard drugs were recovered during the operation.
DSP Timfon John on Wednesday stated that the investigation is ongoing.
