Mama Connak – a name synonymous with hope, justice, and compassion- was a true leader, voice of the unheard, and the strength behind countless lives uplifted.

As a community leader, she led with quiet grace that brought people together not just to talk, but to act. Her leadership wasn’t about titles or applause; it was rooted in service, listening to the needs of the people, and responding with wisdom and love. A highly respected leader who consistently placed the well-being of her people far above her own comfort.

A champion of social justice and peace, Mama Connak advocated for the rights of the vulnerable, especially women and children, believing firmly that true peace could only be achieved when dignity and equity were afforded to all.
