Air Peace Refutes Oshiomhole’s Extortion Claims, Demands CCTV Footage Release
Air Peace Airlines has strongly denied recent allegations made by Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who accused the airline of extorting passengers at the airport.

Air Peace Airlines has strongly denied recent allegations made by Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who accused the airline of extorting passengers at the airport.
In a statement released by the airline’s management, the carrier described the former Edo State governor’s claims as “deliberate falsehood” and “blatant lies.”
According to the management of AirPeace, no passengers were extorted, and no tickets were sold after the flight’s check-in had officially closed. “Everyone who flew bought their ticket prior to the flight closure,” the statement emphasized.
The airline further clarified that the flight in question was not overbooked, contrary to Oshiomhole’s claims in circulating videos. In fact, the airline stated, the aircraft departed with over 30 empty seats.
Air Peace went on to refute claims that Senator Oshiomhole was fighting on behalf of other passengers. “He came to the airport late and was told that he was late. He then began to foment trouble,” the airline alleged.
The statement further accused the senator of disruptive behavior, including jumping on the baggage conveyor belt, barricading the terminal entrance, and inciting other passengers against the airline.
“His accusation of extortion is very defamatory. His conduct was very violent, unbecoming, unfortunate, and above all, shameful,” the airline asserted.
The airline has also called on the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to release CCTV footage of the incident, starting from the time Senator Oshiomhole entered the airport, so the Nigerian public can judge for themselves.
