Breaking: Chima Anyaso Resigns from Young Progressives Party (YPP)
Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 general election, has officially resigned from the party.

In a letter addressed to the party leadership, Dr. Anyaso stated that his resignation takes effect immediately. He acknowledged the difficulty of the decision, citing the time, resources, and personal commitment he has invested in the party.
“This decision did not come lightly, especially considering the time, the work and resources I have personally invested into the party and the support, encouragement, and platform the party has provided me,” the letter reads.
Dr. Anyaso expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent the YPP in the 2023 elections and praised the role the party played in mobilizing young people and promoting political engagement in Abia State.



“I will always take pride in the pivotal role our party played in ushering in a new era of political liberation in Abia State. We inspired a generation of young people to believe that true power rests with the people,” he said.
While he did not state his next political move, Anyaso reaffirmed his commitment to service, unity, and progress and expressed hope for future collaboration with likeminded individuals for societal development.
He wished the YPP continued growth and success in its future endeavors.
Dr. Anyaso’s resignation marks a significant development within the YPP, particularly in Abia State.
