Enough of the Hardship, Rescue Nigeria from Civilian-Dictatorship – Olushola

It is deeply disturbing and unacceptable that the current government continues to display a blatant disregard for the suffering of the Nigerian people through reckless and unnecessary spending. How can any responsible leadership justify proposing over ₦700 billion for the renovation of airports when that same amount could be used to construct brand new, modern airports across various states creating jobs, improving infrastructure, and expanding economic opportunities?

This is not just mismanagement it is a complete waste of national resources, a slap in the face to millions of Nigerians struggling to feed their families, pay school fees, or even access basic healthcare.

As if that was not enough, the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike shamelessly announced a ₦39 billion allocation for “renovations” in the capital. Renovate what exactly? Where is the breakdown? Who are the contractors? What is the impact on the ordinary citizens? These are the same old games inflated contracts, shady deals, and zero transparency.

Where is the EFCC in all this? Why are they silent? Or have they now become tools of political convenience chasing opposition figures while ignoring clear cases of financial recklessness in broad daylight?

This government is operating like a civilian dictatorship, not a democracy. They rule without accountability, ignore the voice of the people, and treat public funds as personal inheritance.

We must not stay silent while a handful of individuals continue to loot and mismanage our collective wealth. Nigeria belongs to all of us, not just a privileged political class.

We demand accountability. We demand transparency. We demand responsible leadership.
