Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants stormed the community at dawn, leaving several people feared dead and others injured. The renewed violence has plunged the area into chaos, with residents fleeing for safety.

Sources revealed that the renewed attack was caused by a protest by local women who took to the streets to express their anger and frustration over the continued insecurity.

The women demanded the immediate withdrawal of soldiers stationed in the area, accusing them of failing to prevent the violence.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

In the wake of the attack on Monday, local women staged a protest, marching through the streets to express their anger and frustration over the continued insecurity. The women demanded the immediate withdrawal of soldiers stationed in the area, accusing them of failing to prevent the violence.

It was gathered that gunmen killed three people in a fresh assault on Yelwata while working on their farm, barely two months after a previous attack left hundreds dead and thousands displaced, residents and local officials said.

Many were also injured while some are still missing from the attack.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
