Abia Government Denies Rumours of Teachers Recruitment Cancellation
The Abia State Government has denied rumours circulating within the state that the administration led by Governor Alex Otti has halted or cancelled the ongoing recruitment of teachers.

In a statement issued by Elder Goodluck Ubochi, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, and signed by Uchechukwu Kalu, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, the government advised the public to disregard these rumours, emphasising that they did not originate from the Ministry.
The Ministry revealed that it is focused on addressing the concerns of the newly recruited teachers to make sure that they give their best to Abia children.
The state has previously made it clear that it is committed to ensuring that schools in Abia are equipped to meet global educational standards. This initiative aims to benefit Abia children and secure their future.
