Stop Intimidation and Arrogancy Now – Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo to Wike
By Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo (BOS)

Nyesom Wike’s character should be seriously questioned because he consistently shows that he lacks the moral standing to lecture anyone on integrity or leadership. A man who thrives on intimidation, arrogance, and political power play cannot be the one dictating to a nation what character or discipline should look like. It is rather unfortunate that someone entrusted with such a sensitive office as the Federal Capital Territory Minister has allowed pride, boastfulness, and an overbearing attitude to define his public service.
Instead of humility, service, and dedication to the people, Wike has chosen to exhibit recklessness, drunkenness with power, and arrogance that is fast becoming unbearable to the society he was meant to serve. He carries on with the mindset of a political overlord rather than a servant of the people, forgetting that power is transient and true leadership is judged by humility, fairness, and results not by noise and intimidation.
Wike’s utterances and conduct are unbecoming of a national public officer. He has failed to demonstrate the maturity, balance, and character required to manage a position that touches the lives of millions of Nigerians in the capital city. Instead, he has become an embodiment of arrogance and excesses, proving that he lacks the moral right to speak about character when he himself has none to show.
Public office should be about service, not self-glorification. Unfortunately, Wike has turned the FCT administration into a platform for personal ego battles and unnecessary display of power. The nation must begin to demand accountability from its leaders, and Wike must be reminded that the days of impunity and unchecked arrogance are gone. Nigeria deserves leaders of character, not individuals drunk with power.
