Three Abia Youths Depart for China Under Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation Program

Three young Nigerians from Abia North Senatorial Zone have departed for China as part of the fifth batch of the Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation’s academic and social skills program, held in partnership with the Chinese government.

According to a statement by the founder, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the selected participants left Nigeria on Monday, September 16, and are expected to arrive in Beijing today, Wednesday, September 17.

The trio will participate in a Senior Management Seminar on Marine Biodiversity Conservation for Developing Countries, organised by the Fujian Institute of Oceanography, China.

The participants include; Nnenna Anthonia Onoh from Arochukwu Local Government Area, Kelechi Paul Uche from Bende Local Government Area and Victor Chigozie Etie from Umunneochi Local Government Area.

Senator Kalu expressed confidence that the program would enhance innovation, collaboration, and productivity among Nigerian youths, particularly in the environmental and marine sectors.

“The Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation believes that the training will create room for increased collaboration and productivity, innovation and creativity,” Kalu said.

He also extended gratitude to the Chinese government for its ongoing support and partnership through educational and technical exchange programs. Kalu commended President Xi Jinping and Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, for their continued commitment to strengthening ties with Nigeria.

“The Chinese government, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping and through Ambassador Yu Dunhai, has shown deep friendship with Nigeria by sponsoring programs that build skills and foster innovation,” he added.
