Amid the escalating marital crisis between Regina Daniels and her husband, Ned Nwoko, the actress’s mother has accused the senator of marrying her daughter solely to boost his “fallen star” and warned that he would “go down” if he ever turned against her family.

According to the mother in a video seen by Newsleverage, her daughter did not enter the marriage for money, insisting that Regina’s support of her husband’s political aspirations including giving him $50,000 and the mother’s own resources were invested in his election campaign.

This comes following reports that the siblings of Regina were arrested, allegedly at the behest of Ned Nwoko, to compel her return home and submit to rehabilitation.

While Ned Nwoko has publicly accused Regina of drug and alcohol abuse, the actress has fired back via social media, accusing him of labelling her a “drug addict” and orchestrating the arrests of her brother and sister for refusing to “return to rehab.”

Regina’s other sibling, Sweezy, stated that the Senator’s son died of heart failure and seizures related to drug addiction in a hospital in the UK. Sweezy refuted claims that their mother brought him to the family, explaining that Regina introduced Ned as the man she intended to marry. Despite attempts to dissuade her, Regina refused and received their support.

Sweezy also mentioned that, regardless of the mistreatment their brother Sammy experienced at the Ogombo Police Station, Regina would not return to him.
