Breaking! EFCC Declares Timipre Sylva Wanted
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Timipre Sylva, the former Governor of Bayelsa State, wanted for his alleged involvement in conspiracy and the fraudulent conversion of $14,859,257.
In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, it was reported that the funds in question were part of an investment made by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) into Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited for the construction of a refinery.
The Commission stated that the warrant for Sylva’s arrest was issued on November 6, 2025, by the Lagos State High Court. They urged Nigerians to report any sightings of him to their office.
