‘Ned Nwoko Travelled with Regina Daniels as a Minor, Falsified Age’- Sowore Alleged

Human rights activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has made fresh allegations against Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, claiming that the lawmaker married and travelled internationally with actress Regina Daniels while she was still a minor.

In a statement released on social media on Wednesday, Sowore alleged that documentary evidence now available suggests that Ned Nwoko began his relationship and subsequent marriage to Regina Daniels when she was 17 years old.

According to Sowore, official records indicate that Daniels was born in October 2001 and got married to Nwoko in May 2019.

Sowore further claimed that Nwoko altered Regina’s personal details, changing her name from Regina Nneamaka Favour Ojeogwu to Regina Daniels, and allegedly obtained a fake INEC voter card to conceal her real age. He also accused the senator of introducing the young actress to drugs to “enable him to force himself on her.”

The activist alleged that the couple travelled together to Jordan, the UAE, and Egypt, but notably avoided destinations such as the United Kingdom or the United States, suggesting that Nwoko was aware of the potential legal implications in those jurisdictions.

“This latest revelation raises serious legal and ethical questions that can never be ignored,” Sowore stated. “No amount of influence or political power should shield anyone from accountability when such grave issues are involved.”

His claim in full reads: “Evidence now available suggests that Prince Senator Prince Ned Nwoko travelled internationally with his now temporarily estranged wife, Regina Daniels, at a time when it is clear Senator Prince Ned Nwoko travelled internationally with his now temporarily estranged wife, Regina Daniels, when she was still a minor. Records indicate she was born in October 2001 and that their marriage took place in May 2019, when she was 17 years old. Ned Nwoko changed Regina Daniels’ name from Regina Nneamaka Favour Ojeogwu to Regina Daniels. He obtained and obtained a fake INEC Nigeria voter card to conceal her age after introducing her to drugs to enable him to force himself on her.
