PDP Expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, Others Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled several prominent members, including former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), and Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was announced on Saturday at the party’s 2025 National Convention, currently being held in Ibadan, Oyo State, where delegates voted overwhelmingly to ratify the expulsion.
According to party officials, the action marks a decisive step toward rebuilding unity and discipline within the PDP as it positions itself for the 2027 general elections. Leaders at the convention said the expulsion of the high-profile members was necessary to address persistent internal conflicts and restore stability to the party.
The PDP leadership emphasised that the move reflects a renewed commitment to curbing actions deemed detrimental to party cohesion and electoral prospects.
More details are expected as the convention continues.
