Otti Signs Abia State 2026 Appropriation Bill into Law
The Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, on Monday signed the 2026 Appropriation Bill into law.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, details of the budget breakdown and priority areas will be made available subsequently.
Last month, Governor Otti, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, presented a total budget estimate of ₦1,016,228,072,651.99 (One Trillion, Sixteen Billion, Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight Million, Seventy-Two Thousand, Six Hundred and Fifty-One Naira, Ninety-Nine Kobo) to the Abia State House of Assembly for the 2026 fiscal year.
Christened the “Budget of Acceleration and New Possibilities,” the ₦1.016 trillion proposal represents a 13 per cent increase over the 2025 budget of ₦750.28 billion.
