Presidency Allays Fears Over Tinubu’s Stumble
The Presidency has dismissed concerns about the health of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following an incident during the official welcome ceremony in Ankara, Turkey, where the president was seen stumbling twice.
According to the Presidency, the incident occurred as a result of a poorly laid blue carpet at the reception venue and was not related to any health issues. It emphasised that President Tinubu remains in good health and is fully capable of carrying out his official duties.
The President has since resumed his schedule and is currently engaged in a bilateral meeting with Turkish authorities as part of his state visit.
A joint press conference is expected to follow the meeting.
