Gradually, Traders Troop Out in Onitsha Main Market
Traders at Onitsha Main Market in Anambra State have gradually returned to the market following the lifting of the one-week shutdown imposed by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his firm stance against the sit-at-home order.

On Monday, just hours after Newsleverage observed that traders were initially complying with the sit-at-home order, the situation changed as traders consciously began to open their shops.
From Emeka Offor Plaza to Kinpet Plaza, traders were seen sitting in front of their shops, monitoring developments while selling to customers, only to lock up afterwards. Others were observed walking to their shops to assess the security situation.
Governor Soludo had deployed security personnel, who were seen stationed in different sections of the market.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has insisted that the sit-at-home order will continue until Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released.
