2027: Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji Joins Race for Ikwuano/Umuahia House of Representatives Seat

Former Speaker of the 7th Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has officially announced his intention to contest for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Orji made the declaration during a Good Friday gathering in Umuahia, where he addressed a large crowd of supporters who visited him. He explained that his decision was driven by a desire to serve once again and make a meaningful contribution to the constituency’s development.

Expressing appreciation for the support he has received, Orji said he is encouraged by the trust and belief shown in him by the people.

He emphasised that his previous experience in the State Assembly has equipped him with a clear understanding of leadership responsibilities and the need for impactful governance.

He further stated that his ambition goes beyond seeking office, noting that he is committed to providing effective representation and advancing the welfare and development of Ikwuano/Umuahia constituents at the national level.
