Effurun Killing: Grieving Mother Claims Police Killed Her Two Sons
Mrs Ogidi, the grieving mother of Oghenemine Ogidi, who was killed extrajudicially by police officers in Delta State, is demanding answers after losing both of her sons in separate encounters with the police.

During an emotional visit by activist Harrison Gwamnishu on Wednesday, she recounted how her first son was arrested at their home in 2022. Authorities later claimed he died in an exchange of gunfire.
However, the family and community members have challenged this narrative, insisting that the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear and deeply troubling.
Tragedy struck again with the death of her second son, Oghenemine Ogidi, who was shot on Tuesday by Effurun Area Operatives over a waybill.
Before he was killed, the victim, who was tied both hands and feet, kept shouting that he was innocent and was asked by a friend to pick up a waybill. He pleaded to take the Policemen to his friend but was shot as he kept begging for his life.
The grieving woman has demanded answers from the authorities, while the officers involved have been transported to Abuja on orders from the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, for investigation.
