Anglican Diocese Suspends Priest Over Alleged Fake Miracles and Prophecies
The Anglican Diocese, Province of the Niger has suspended a popular priest, Reverend Ifunanya Maduka, widely known as Reverend Chaluoku, over allegations of staging fake miracles and issuing false prophecies.

The suspension was announced by the Anglican Bishop on the Niger, His Lordship Bishop Owen Nwokolo, following reports that the cleric engaged in practices considered inconsistent with the doctrines and integrity of the church.
The allegations include paying individuals to give false testimonies and orchestrating supposed signs and wonders to mislead congregants.

Reverend Chaluoku, who until his suspension served as the vicar of St Paul’s Anglican Church in Nteje, is also known for running a prayer and prophetic ministry that attracted a significant following.
According to the directive issued by the Diocese, the priest has been suspended for a period of six months. He has also been instructed to hand over all church property and vacate the church premises within four days.
The statement revealed that a disciplinary committee shall be constituted to investigate the matter and determine any further necessary action in line with the regulations of the Church.
