Mayor Lucky Obinwa Igbokwe Clears All 32 APC Wards in Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency Primary Election – Media Office

The Chairman of Don Media Group and Abia State Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM), Mayor Lucky Obinwa Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, has emerged victorious across all 32 APC wards in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency seat.

The outcome of the primary election reflects the overwhelming confidence, acceptance, and support Mayor Lucky Igbokwe continues to enjoy among APC delegates, party stakeholders, grassroots mobilizers, and supporters across the federal constituency.

Party faithfuls and political observers described the victory as a clear demonstration of the aspirant’s strong grassroots connection, political structure, and longstanding commitment to community and human development within Abia State.

The primary election, which witnessed participation from delegates and party stakeholders across Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South Local Government Areas, reportedly ended with Mayor Lucky Igbokwe recording victory in all 32 APC wards within the constituency.

Reacting to the outcome of the exercise, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of the APC, delegates, ward executives, stakeholders, youths, women groups, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.

He described the victory not as a personal achievement but as a collective mandate given by the people and the party to advance grassroots development, effective representation, and people-oriented leadership at the National Assembly.

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe reaffirmed his commitment to carrying every stakeholder along and running an inclusive movement that prioritizes the welfare and aspirations of the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency.

According to him, the overwhelming support received during the primaries has further strengthened his determination to work harder for the people and justify the trust placed in him by party members.

He further assured supporters that if elected into the House of Representatives, he would pursue aggressive federal interventions and developmental projects across the constituency, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, agriculture, ICT development, rural electrification, and skill acquisition programs.

The APC chieftain also reiterated that his style of representation would go beyond waiting for constituency projects alone, stressing that he would actively engage federal ministries, agencies, and intervention programs to attract meaningful development to communities across the constituency.

Supporters and party members who spoke after the primary election described Mayor Lucky Igbokwe as a grassroots leader with humility, accessibility, and a visible passion for community advancement.

Many also referenced his investments in media and employment generation through Don FM and Ikoro FM in Umuawa Alaocha, Ohuhu, Abia State, noting that his track record in human development and empowerment distinguishes him from many politicians.

Stakeholders further stated that the victory across all 32 wards reflects the unity and confidence of APC members behind his aspiration as the party prepares for the general election.
