Ogah Mourns AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu, Describes His Passing as a Monumental Loss to Abia State and Nigeria
The President of Master Energy Group of Companies, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, has expressed profound grief and heartfelt condolences over the passing of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia, AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu, describing his death as a monumental loss to Abia State, the South-East region, and Nigeria as a whole.

In a solemn condolence message, Dr. Ogah paid glowing tribute to the late senior police officer, whom he described as an exceptional security administrator, an accomplished public servant, and a patriot whose life was devoted to the service of humanity and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to Dr. Uche Ogah, AIG Uzuegbu’s distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force was defined by discipline, courage, integrity, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property. He noted that throughout his decades of service, the late police chief consistently demonstrated uncommon leadership qualities and remained steadfast in the pursuit of peace, justice, and public safety.
The passing of AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu is a painful and irreplaceable loss. He was a remarkable officer whose service transcended the call of duty. He embodied the highest ideals of patriotism, discipline, honour, and selfless sacrifice. His commitment to protecting the lives of Nigerians and preserving public peace was unwavering. At a time when our nation continues to depend on experienced and visionary security leaders, his departure leaves a vacuum that will be difficult to fill, Dr.Uche Ogah stated.
He noted that beyond his official responsibilities, the late AIG was known for his humility, accessibility, mentorship, and dedication to nurturing younger officers within the Nigeria Police Force. According to him, many officers who worked under the late AIG benefited immensely from his wealth of experience, wisdom, and exemplary leadership style.
Dr. Uche Ogah observed that AIG Uzuegbu’s life serves as a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, integrity, commitment, and genuine service to one’s country. He stressed that the late police chief’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations of Nigerians, especially young people aspiring to serve in leadership positions and the security sector.
Dr.Uche Ogah lamented that Nigeria has lost one of its most dedicated security officers, while Abia State and the South-East have lost a worthy ambassador whose life and service brought honour to the region.
Dr.Uche Ogah extended his sincere condolences to the Inspector-General of Police, the management, officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, the Government and people of Imo State, the people of Njaba Local Government Area his local government of origin, the Government and people of Abia State, traditional rulers, community leaders, friends, associates, and above all, the immediate family of the deceased.
He prayed that Almighty God would grant the departed officer eternal rest and provide comfort, strength, and divine consolation to all those affected by the painful loss.
Although his earthly assignment has come to an end, his noble legacy of honour, courage, professionalism, and dedicated service to humanity will remain evergreen. His contributions to peace, security, nation-building, and the advancement of the Nigeria Police Force will never be forgotten. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life of extraordinary accomplishment, sacrifice, and service.
