Ogah Empowers Hundreds with Funded POS Machines in Abia
Hundreds of beneficiaries across Abia State have received fully funded Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals as part of a major empowerment initiative sponsored by Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, FCA, CON, at the Abia Rejoice Movement Office in Umuahia.

The empowerment programme, which took place on May 31, brought together members of Abia Rejoice Movement, Abia Arise, and small and medium-scale business owners from various parts of the state. Beneficiaries were presented with already-funded POS machines and were also assisted in registering their businesses with the appropriate government authorities, receiving certificates upon completion.
The initiative came as a pleasant surprise to many participants, who described it as a life-changing opportunity that could provide a sustainable source of income and promote financial independence.
Speaking during the event, Dr Ogah emphasised the importance of complementing government efforts aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
“The government has continued to do a lot to improve the lives of the people, but the government cannot do everything,” he said.
He noted that his passion for giving back to society stems from a desire to alleviate the challenges faced by many citizens and create opportunities for economic empowerment.
“As a concerned citizen, it gives me great joy to put smiles on the faces of people. I believe that part of what God has blessed me with should be used to assist those who are in need,” he added.
Dr Ogah encouraged beneficiaries to take full advantage of the opportunity by managing their businesses responsibly and striving towards self-reliance.
The Abia Rejoice Movement, in a statement congratulating the beneficiaries, urged them to make good use of the empowerment package and contribute positively to the economic growth of their communities.
According to the group, the initiative reflects the belief that empowering individuals with tools for self-sufficiency remains one of the most effective ways to combat poverty and stimulate grassroots development.
The event ended on a celebratory note, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude to Dr Ogah for the gesture and pledging to maximise the opportunity provided.
“The future is conspicuously bright,” the movement declared, giving thanks to God for the successful programme.
