Adeleke Meets Tinubu, Presents Certificate of Return After Osun Governorship Victory

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, following his victory in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election.

Adeleke, who was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), presented his Certificate of Return to President Tinubu during the meeting on Thursday.

Speaking during the visit, Adeleke said he came to appreciate the President for what he described as his role in ensuring a free and fair electoral process in the state.

“I came to thank President Tinubu for allowing a free and fair election in the just-concluded Osun State election and for fighting for democracy,” Adeleke said.

President Tinubu, in his remarks, congratulated Adeleke and urged him to use his renewed mandate to make a lasting impact in Osun State.

“You are in a very unique position to make history, expand your coast, because that’s the only way you can give thanks to Osun people, not the way you found it but the way you act,” the President told the governor.

Adeleke was announced the winner of the 15th August election by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and was re-elected for a second term of four years.
