2027: ‘Reject ₦5,000 for Your Future, Vote Good Governance’ – Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo Urges Nigerians
By Otunba (Dr) Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo (BOS)
Dear Fellow Nigerians, as we approach the 2027 general elections, our nation stands at a historic crossroads. The decisions we make at the ballot box will determine the trajectory of our economy, our security, and the future of our children. This is a call to every patriotic citizen to look beyond political party affiliations, refuse financial inducements, and vote strictly for competence, integrity, and verified qualifications.
To salvage our nation, we must establish a new standard for leadership based on the following pillars:
* Academic Credibility and Transparency: A credible leader must possess verified academic credentials from primary, secondary, and tertiary levels to inspire trust and demonstrate foundational competence.
* Rejection of Electoral Violence: True leaders reject thuggery, ballot snatching, and democratic subversion, understanding that legitimate authority comes from peaceful and fair voting.
* An End to Propaganda and Deception: Nigeria requires realistic, transparent governance built on truth, accountability, and measurable progress rather than empty political rhetoric and false promises.
* Economic Prosperity and Employment: Voters should support candidates with practical, sustainable blueprints to curb inflation, create jobs, and foster an environment where businesses can thrive.
* Comprehensive Security and Healthcare: We deserve an administration capable of securing lives and property, restoring national peace, and building accessible, well-funded healthcare infrastructure.
* Dignity Over Inducements: Refuse to sell your vote or future for short-term financial gifts, such as ₦5,000, which only perpetuate corruption and systemic poverty.
The performance of the current ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Tinubu, remains a central subject of national debate.
Critics point to severe economic hardships, inflation, and persistent security gaps as evidence of policy failure and governance shortcomings. Conversely, supporters argue that these are necessary, painful adjustments as part of long-term structural reforms aimed at stabilising the nation.
Ultimately, the choice lies with you, the electorate.
Examine every candidate’s track record, character, and vision. Your vote is your voice, your power, and your contract with the future.
Vote for accountability. Vote for good governance. Vote to rescue and rebuild Nigeria.
