INEC Dismisses False Report on Governorship Candidates’ List in Six States
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has dismissed as false a publication circulating online concerning the list of governorship candidates in Zamfara, Gombe, Delta, Plateau, Yobe and Kano States.
INEC urged members of the public to disregard the report and refrain from sharing unverified information.
In a statement issued by the Commission’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Victor Eta-Mersi, the electoral body clarified that the circulating publication was false.
The Commission advised Nigerians to rely on its official communication channels for accurate information and avoid spreading misleading reports that could confuse.
