Seyi Tinubu: Tinubu Chose to Confront Nigeria’s Challenges for Future Generations

Seyi Tinubu has defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying the administration chose to confront Nigeria’s challenges for the benefit of future generations.

Speaking at the maiden edition of his colloquium in Lagos, Seyi said President Tinubu did not inherit the Nigeria left by previous administrations, but deliberately chose to tackle the country’s longstanding economic challenges.

He cited the removal of fuel subsidy, foreign exchange reforms and tax reforms as key decisions aimed at restructuring how Nigeria earns, spends and creates opportunities.

According to him, the reforms have not been easy, with families feeling the immediate impact of rising costs, but he argued that the long-term benefits would be more difficult to see immediately.

Seyi also highlighted investments in roads, power, mining, manufacturing and agriculture, saying they would create opportunities, improve productivity and connect Nigerians to markets and jobs.

He said his generation must participate in leadership and ensure that decisions being made today create a better future for Nigerians yet unborn.

“I support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms because we will inherit a future built by leaders of today,” he said.
