The Federal Capital Police Command have arrested a drunk policeman following the viral video of the ‘Policeman’ at CBN Junction in Abuja.

The viral video of the policeman who was drunk hit the internet on Saturday, passerbys collected his gun from him to prevent sporadic shooting that might result to loss of lives.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yusuf Mariam, the Commissioner of Police CP. Bala Ciroma ordered that the ‘Police officer be subjected to psychological and medical evaluation, preparatory to the commencement of disciplinary actions against him.’
ASP Ciroma also urges residents to remain calm as the behaviour portrayed by the Policeman does not portray the discipline of the Nigerian Police Force.
‘In view of the above, the Commissioner of Police wishes to unequivocally state that the behaviour portrayed by the Policeman in the video does not depict the standard discipline of the Nigeria Police Force.
While urging residents to remain calm, the Command wishes to reiterate its unflinching commitment to the protection of lives and property in the Federal Capital Territory.’
