Police Arrest Two at Checkpoint, Recover Pistol and Ammunition
Operatives from the Special Anti-Cult Squad in Enugwu Ukwu arrested two out of the four occupants of a white Toyota Corolla with registration number YAB 26 CB at a security checkpoint on Umudioka-Awkuzu Road by Igbariam on January 25, 2025, at 5:38 PM.

The two suspects, Raphael Peverga and Saakura Teryima, are both 22 years old and from Benue State. Efforts are underway to apprehend the other two suspects who are currently at large.



Reports indicate that the suspects exited the vehicle while it was still in motion when the operatives ordered them to stop for a security search.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, the team also recovered a Beretta pistol, two live rounds of ammunition, and the Toyota Corolla vehicle.
