Rivers Assembly Adjourns Indefinitely
The Rivers State House of Assembly has indefinitely adjourned its legislative activities following a request from Governor Siminalayi Fubara to resubmit the 2025 Budget.
The Rivers State House of Assembly has indefinitely adjourned its legislative activities following a request from Governor Siminalayi Fubara to resubmit the 2025 Budget.
The announcement was made by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, representing a faction loyal to former Governor Nyesom Wike, on Friday.

Governor Fubara notified the Assembly of his intention to resubmit the budget on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, after his failed visit on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, during the governor’s visit.
