10-Year-Old Boy Drowns During Heavy Downpour

A 10-year-old boy tragically lost his life on Thursday after falling into a drainage channel along Omuma Road during a torrential downpour.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when the young boy attempted to dispose of waste into the open gutter while it was raining. He reportedly slipped and was swept away by the fast-moving floodwaters.

Local residents launched an immediate rescue effort, but the force of the water made it impossible to save him in time. His lifeless body was later recovered downstream.
