Rivers Chief Judge Refuses to Set Up Panel to Probe Gov. Fubara
The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Chibuzor Simeon Amadi, has declined to constitute a seven-member panel to investigate allegations of gross misconduct against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy.

Justice Amadi on Thursday said his decision is based on existing court orders that expressly prohibit him from establishing such a panel.

According to him, proceeding with the request would amount to a violation of the subsisting judicial directives.
He emphasised that until the relevant court orders are vacated or set aside by a court of competent jurisdiction, he is legally constrained from taking any steps toward constituting the proposed investigative panel.
