“Nigeria on the Path of Renewed Greatness,” First Lady Says, Mobilises 40m Votes for 2027

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has declared that Nigeria is on the path of renewed greatness as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council inaugurated its women’s mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s women stakeholders’ mobilisation and empowerment summit in Abuja, Remi Tinubu said women across the country must remain united in support of the APC from the presidential level to the governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

“Every other support group women have, we have collapsed them. What you see on the ballot is APC. We are here to promote APC, nothing less, from presidency to governorship, to National Assembly, to State Assembly,” she said.

The summit, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, was organised by the council’s Women Mobilisation Directorate under the theme, “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity.”

The Women Mobilisation Directorate, led by former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, has set a target of 40 million women’s votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.

Edu said the summit was designed to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilisation structure across 176,846 communities nationwide.

The APC Presidential Campaign Council Director-General, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, former governors including Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Rochas Okorocha and Aminu Bello Masari, as well as former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, attended the event.

Also present were the wife of the Vice-President, Nana Shettima; wives of APC governors; the wife of the APC National Chairman; female ministers; Princess Gloria Akobundu of the planning committee; and other women leaders and party stakeholders.
